Hypnosis for Pain Management

Hypnosis for Pain Management

If you want to reduce long-term pain, hypnosis may have the answer

Research shows that medical hypnosis can help with both sudden (acute) and long-term (chronic) pain from cancer, burns, and rheumatoid arthritis. It may also ease the anxiety some people feel before surgery.

When researchers at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York analysed 18 studies, they found moderate to large pain-relieving effects from hypnotherapy, supporting its use for pain management.

We work together as a team; hypnotist and client, to find the most effective route to better better long term pain management.

It’s about putting you back in control of your pain and giving you the chance of a happier life.

It could be your first step to taking control.

About Jonathan Garside, Hypnotherapist in London

Hello, I’m Jonathan Garside. To find out more about how hypnosis can help you to be more in control of pain, book a free appointment.

Pain is not simply a peripheral sensation; it’s also how the brain interprets and manages that sensation, and we can do a lot with our brains to modify our levels of discomfort.

Hypnosis allows you to alter perception, to narrow the focus of attention. It also allows you to detach yourself from concerns that might amplify the pain.

At your free consultation you can ask all the questions you want about how hypnotherapy can help you get control of pain, and it gives us the opportunity to find out more about your goals and to plan a strategy that works. It is at this stage that we can work out how many sessions you will need.

Generally, I see most people for 2-4 sessions and the cost is £250 per one hour session. However, that reduces to £225 per hour when you buy a package of four sessions, saving you £100.

It might be the first step to a more comfortable life.

Evidence suggests that hypnosis for pain management and biofeedback are increasing in popularity as ways to treat pain.

Although hypnosis rarely will provide a “cure” for chronic pain, it may help patients self-regulate and influence their pain perception.

At The Hypnosis Clinic, we take time to listen and find out what the underlying reasons behind your pain.

From here, we progress, step-by-step, to find the right technique and focus for you to be in charge of your life again. For now, and the rest of your happier, healthier life.

Of course, hypnotherapy may be all new to you, so have a look at some of the comments other people have been kind enough to write below, and remember, your first consultation is free and without obligation.
